What do air travel and church attendance have in common?

Pastor Ron Morrison has done his share of travel in the United States and abroad, and he has noticed striking similarities between what he observes in church and during air travel. In both instances, people are seated next to one another for a period of time who don't know one another when they take off or when they land!

But that's not the only way the two activities are similar as he describes in his latest book, Airplane Church: Discipleship Lessons From Travel Encounters With Strangers. Pastor Morrison also found similarities in checking baggage, boarding a plane, landing, and baggage claim. And as he writes in the introduction, "Let’s walk through the journey of traveling from one place to another, and use the lens of Scripture to challenge our thinking about going places with the Lord."
